Workshops
Retirement and Social Security Workshops in South Jersey
Our educational workshops help pre-retirees and retirees think through the decisions that shape retirement income: when to claim Social Security, how to turn savings into income, and how the pieces fit into one plan. Workshops are led by Paul Levin, CFP®, ChFC®, RICP®*, TPCP®, and held at the Community House of Moorestown.
What Our Workshops Cover
Topics change through the year. Recent and recurring workshops include:
Retirement Income
How to turn savings into a coordinated income plan: which accounts to draw from and when, and how to plan for market swings, inflation and a long retirement.
Questions may include:
- Which accounts can I draw from, and when?
- How can an income plan account for market swings, inflation, and a long retirement?
Tax Planning*
How taxes interact with retirement income, from account withdrawals and required minimum distributions to the taxation of Social Security benefits.
Questions may include:
- How do withdrawals and required minimum distributions affect taxable income?
- How are Social Security benefits taxed?
*Specific individualized tax advice not provided. We suggest that you discuss your specific tax issues with a qualified tax advisor.
Medicare
Enrollment timing, coverage choices, and how your income can affect what you pay for Medicare.
Questions may include:
- When can I enroll in Medicare?
- What coverage choices will I need to consider?
- How can my income affect what I pay for Medicare?
